Focus on LOVE


Hi everyone! Guess what? I just got married this August, so since I’ve been so focused on wedding planning and getting married lately, I’d like to dedicate this month’s article to one of my favorite topics: LOVE.

'Love' is probably something you focus on every so often, from loving a boy to loving your family and friends, to loving ice cream! It’s even possible that you might focus on what you THINK is love, but isn’t really!

Everyone has a different idea about what love is, and it can get Really confusing!!

So, here’s the thing... if you’re going to focus on Love anyway, you may as well focus on what love actually is!

What do YOU think real love is?

First of all, you should know 100% that Love isn’t what you see in Hollywood movies! It’s not about someone making your dreams come true, or making you happy (there’s no such thing, only YOU can make you happy), and it’s not about a feeling because our feelings change every single day (sometimes every single hour!).

In my opinion, ‘Love’ is something you DO. It’s an action! I’ll explain…

To LOVE something or someone is really about you truly wanting to GIVE to them and DO for them. Crazy isn’t it? It’s almost the opposite of what we see on TV or in the movies with people usually dreaming about what they’re going to GET from the people and things they love.

Have you ever noticed that there are people and things that you naturally want to Give your energy and time to?

Who are those people? What are those things? It’s THESE people and things that most likely are who and what you truly love! So, when you think you might love something, ask yourself these two very important questions:

1. Do I truly want to GIVE to them/ this?
2. What if I Never received Anything back, would I still want to GIVE to them/ it? (that’s the unconditional kind of love).

If your answers are YES, then you know that you really do love! If you think about what you can GET from them/ it, then maybe you just Like it/ them -a lot.

So, keep your focus on GIVING to who and what truly matters to your heart. You’ll experience the truest kind of Love and you will live a Happy and Fantastic life!
