Faves: My favourite colour is a greenish aqua, my fave band is Rise Against, but I love anything from rock to rap, and country to heavy metal. I don’t have a fave food, I’ll pretty much eat anything, but I love sushi, steak dinners, pop tarts, milkshakes and ice tea. My fave season is summer, and my fave sports to watch are hockey, football and UFC. I love horror movies and my fave thing to do is hang out with my friends and do stuff with them.

Hobbies: I absolutely love playing guitar and I’m obsessed with music. I do cheerleading at my school and it’s crazy intense but so fun! I love to draw, paint and do almost anything artistic. I love to dance, travel, shop, swim, and I love doing crazy stuff; I’ve flown a plane, zip-lined over a jungle in Mexico and jumped on a trampoline in the ocean with my sister and tons of other cool stuff. I’m into all kinds of different hobbies and activities and I love to try new stuff all the time! :)

School and Stuff: My fave subjects in school are Art, History and Guitar. I do pretty well in school, and I’m identified as gifted. Being ‘gifted’ doesn’t mean I’m smarter, I just learn a bit faster. I love being involved in school events and teams; I was on the soccer and cheerleading team at my high school and I love it! I only have one year left of high school so I’m pretty excited but nervous about my next step and what to do after I graduate, but I’m looking into a lot of Universities involving music.

Personality: My friends would say that I’m always happy and smiling, that I’m funny, fearless, down to earth and trustworthy. I hate drama and conflicts at school, so I stay away from that as much as I can. Life’s too important to stress over the little things; you make your reality, so why not make it a happy one? Everyone makes mistakes, but they’re not mistakes if you learn from them, so I don’t regret anything bad that’s happened in my life. I’d say that I’m super chill and easy going, very accepting and passionate in anything I set my mind to.  

Life Challenge: Growing up is so hard...and even though everyone does it, it’s different for everyone. We all have a story, and it’s crazy how you can find out things about people you never would have expected. I’ve had lots of really great relationships and also have been through tough ones with people, like with friends, boyfriends and my family. When I fight with my parents I often don’t remember what it was all about even a few minutes later. I tend to hold my anger and stress inside at times. The hardest issue I think in high school that I dealt with was when two friends I knew tried to commit suicide (at different times). It’s almost a helpless feeling and totally heartbreaking when someone you love goes through that. I learned a lot about the value of life from them – like every little second counts, and to tell and show the people you love, that you do. I also learned how important it is to love myself. I think the most challenging thing for me is seeing people I love go through hard times, and living through it with them. My message to other girls is that no matter how tough it is growing up, it won’t always be like that, and it will get better; what you go through makes you stronger. Never give up and learn to love and accept yourself for you.

Proud of: I’m definitely proud of getting through a lot of the hard experiences in my life and I’m really proud of some of the accomplishments as well that I’ve made. I’ve been involved with this magazine from day one and I’ve done tons of stuff for it including writing articles, being on the Teen Stuff Crew, and being Jr. Art Director. I’m proud of the great friends and boyfriend I have, and how amazing and supportive my family is. We’ve gone through a lot, but we’re always there for each other and we know how to have fun!

So Brittney: Playing guitar, listening to music, not being afraid to try anything, doing everything last minute, sleeping in, and always smiling are sooooo me!

Cool fact about Brittney: I’m obsessed with Pop Tarts, I have a twin sister who’s become my best friend <3, I’m a huge klutz – I’m always falling, dropping or spilling things, or hurting people accidently, and I used to be scared of falling in love until the perfect guy made it happen <3 :$

Future: When I graduate I’m going to most likely go to University for something in the music industry; like production or management. I’m going to travel a lot and see the world. I hope to live my life to the fullest and do everything I’ve dreamed of doing.

Pet Peeves: My pet peeves are waking up in the morning and bugs.
