Real Girl Mandy

Favourites: Dirt biking is my favourite thing to do. I also love movies, shopping, the beach, comfy American Eagle clothes, vanilla ice cream, pepperoni pizza, Oreo cookies dipped in peanut butter, fruit, the colour pink, rugby, country music, the TV show ‘The Hills’ (MTV), Jennifer Aniston because she’s independent and people comment that I look like I could be her little sister, working on and drawing cars.

Family: I have a little brother who’s 13, and two dogs named Buster (half Pit/half Shep) and Metallica (golden Lab). My family is really close, we like to go places together. I love spending time with my Dad - he teaches me a lot about cars and we love going to car shows together with the family. My Mom is great too. She’s one of my mentors, I can tell her anything!

Hobbies: I mostly like hanging out with my friends and I’m an internet fiend!

School & Stuff: My favourite subjects are gym and math. My favourite teacher was Mrs. Smeenk ...she was always there for me, and if I ever had a hard time she never judged me and always helped. She was a real mentor. She made a difference for me and told me she knew I was independent and if I ever wanted to do something she always encouraged me to do it. My confidence was really boosted because of her.

Personality: Im grumpy in the morning but mostly I’m a really fun, outgoing, independent, a nice person and easy to make friends with. My friends would say I’m sometimes lazy and at parties I would be the center of attention. I don’t have enemies, I  get along with everyone. I have awesome best friends - they are always there for me, they listen to me, and spoil me (as I do for them!).

Life Challenge: I had a problem with my knee where I was supposed to wear a brace every day and not play sports (by doctor’s orders). This year when I’d been riding my dirt bike again I crashed it and unfortunately wrecked my knee again! The good news is, I ended up coaching a soccer team of 5-7 year olds and it made me realize I want to be a kindergarten teacher one day.

Proud of: My new puppy Metallica! She started gnawing on the metal button on my jeans - that’s how she got her name. I am raising her myself and will take her to University with me so my older dog Buster can stay with my family.
SO Mandy: What is so me? Not waking up in the morning, always wearing makeup, dirt biking, being at Kelsey’s house, pink, being lazy, shopping as soon as I get any money, being around kids, and sometimes being grumpy... those things are so me!

Cool Fact about Mandy: How much I know about cars.

Pet peeves: When people crack their fingers or neck.

Future: I want to go to Ottawa University for 5 years to be a teacher. If I get accepted I’ll get an apartment with my friend and my dog Metallica. Eventually I want to be a child and youth worker because I just love kids!
