Hey, my name is Nicole, and a time when I performed a RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS was when I saw an old lady, and she needed help opening the doors and I did. I felt very good and I kept on helping people ever since!

At the dinner table, I started crying because I missed my grandpa who had recently died. I went to my room, where my sister found me hugging my stuffed bear. She tried cheering me up. She wore her pants really high doing a funny imitation that Jim Carrey did in a movie, put on funny accents, and when it was quiet, said: “So, seen any good movies lately?” I started laughing all over again. By the time I went back to dinner, my sister had even put a happy smile on my face! One thing’s for sure, I can always count on my sister to make me go from coughing and crying to laughing and smiling!

The girls from our ‘be real. be youTM’ GiRL’S CLUB decided to take $50.00 from the money they received from magazine fundraisers to donate to Operation Mzuzu. The City of Mzuzu in Malawi, Central Africa is one of the world’s poorest regions. St. Peter’s Church in Cobourg has been looking after 250 orphans with a weekly feeding program. The program has been expanded to include the funding of 11 students to attend high school. The girls made their donation at a presentation of Mzuzu at our school in March.

That, is a RAK, kind and random!

My school has a RAK program where if you see someone do a RAK, you write that person’s name and what they did on a slip of paper put in a RAK box (every teacher has one in their room for RAKs to go into). Once a month or so, some RAKs are drawn out of the box to be recognized. I think you girls out there should talk to your teacher or principal about getting a RAK program too, it’s awesome!
