LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Hey Girls!

Here's the thing... it's HARD to be a teen. And not such a breeze being a girl either. Peer pressure, emotions, puberty, BFFs, and of course BOYS! That and the pressures of thinking we have to look and be like the celebs and professional models out there... where's the hope of ever feeling GOOD ENOUGH?

Who said we're supposed to be skinny? Who said we're supposed to be tall? Or short? Or blue eyed? Or blonde? Or red head? Or anything??? And why do we care so much what other people think?

We just do!!

We want to fit in, and we want to be accepted. Who DOESN'T?? So we believe in some of the ridiculous stuff we see and then we do whatever it takes to make it a part of how we're seen... even if that goes against who we really are.

But are we ever really satisfied? Do we ever measure up to those standards? And when will we ever feel GOOD ENOUGH?

I know the secret answer... wanna know? You may be disappointed at how EASY it is! The answer is: we will only ever FEEL good enough when we BELIEVE we are good enough. Yep, that's it. Change NOTHING about yourself except your negative beliefs. That's the path to freedom. :)

So that's what GCDA is all about... supporting you to be who you are, just the way you are. Black hair, blonde hair, blue hair, any hair, any height, any weight, no matter what you've gone through, what you've done or what's been done to you. Every girl is a Real Girl, and you are FABULOUS!
