ASK A GIRL
1. If you could meet anyone alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Emma, 12: I would want to meet my grandma and grandpa because I never got to see them.
Sam, 13: I would meet Shawn Johnson because she is pretty, good at gymnastics, famous and also has a lot of people that admire her, including me.
Shannon,14: Edward Cullen, from the book ‘Twilight’.
Sarah, 12: Christine Sinclair, my favorite women’s soccer player, she’s from Burnaby and plays for the Women’s Whitecaps.
Emily, 13: Elvis, because he’s the king of rock or something like that.
Robyn, 14: I would want to meet my Grandmother. She died when I was really young and everyone tells me she was soooo nice.
Jennifer, 13: I would love to meet Amelia Earhart. She really inspired me to “fly high”.
Julia, 14: I would love to meet Selena Gomez. She is my new favourite Disney actress. She looks really nice and real. It would be amazing to meet someone FAMOUS!
2. What do you think Guys look for most in a Girl?
Tiffanni, 13: I think guys love to see the little things us girls do.
Sam, 13: I think guys look for 60% personality, 20% looks, and 20% self-confidence.
Adelynn, 15: I think guys look for body shape.
Khadijah, 13: girls that like the same sports / music as they do.
Olivia, 12: girls that are more grown up physically (big boobs).
Sarah, 14: maybe someone with a bright personality, and doesn’t always take things too seriously
Emma, 14: skinny, pretty, small, cute, confident. But mostly confidence I think.
Annie, 13: Guys want someone who is into their kinda stuff, like boarding or video games.
Cadie, 13: The quality that guys want the most in a girl is just to be totally at ease with them. You know, absolutely NO STRESS!
Sarah, 13: I think different guys look for different things but mostly guys look for girls with a good personality and someone who’s not afraid to be themselves around other people.
Isabella, 14: I think guys look for girls that are nice, pretty, funny, and have a great personality.
3. What’s the best costume you ever saw or wore?
Lemann, 13: One time I saw this girl wearing a rubix cube.
Sam, 13: The best costume I ever saw was a fridge.
Desire, 10: The best costume I ever saw was Yoda.
Shannon, 14: I dressed up as Loonette from the Big Comfy Couch and my sister was Molly.
Alessandra, 18: The best Halloween costume I ever saw was a homemade costume of a jelly bean bag. The person wrapped themselves in a clear garbage bag and inside that bag was a bunch of little multicolored balloons to make it look like jellybeans.
Cadie, 13: Last year my dog and I went together. She was a hot dog and I was the ketchup. We were pretty cool!
Annie, 14: Last year there was one girl that went to school as this vampire queen. She had a head piece, fake blood, and was super scary.
Isabella, 14: My French teacher dressed up as a grocery bag and she had a huge paper bag on her with food items inside.
Amanda, 11: Two people in my school, a boy and a girl, dressed up as pepper and salt.
4. What’s the hardest thing about being you?
Broni, 12: The hardest thing about being me is that no one accepts me for who I am. Not even my parents! I love skulls and black and all that jazz and because of it people call me “goth”. Which totally isn’t me. I’ve learned to just shrug it off and laugh with them when they make fun of me. It bothers me deep down and I wish they would just accept me.
Jenn, 14: The hardest thing about being me is having friends with such drama issues. I’m not a complicated person.
Hana, 13: It’s that I never feel like the things I do are good enough at school. I want to be like the smart kids and do better projects
Chanise, 15: The hardest is taking care of my little sisters when I want to have a life!
Annie, 13: Going to the mall with my skinny friends. They all like to try stuff on and I can never wear the same stuff so I usually just stand around and watch.
Victoria, 12: The hardest thing is waking up in the morning for school. I slept in all summer and I have a seriously hard time getting up now!
