ASK A GUY

1. What’s the best costume you ever saw or wore?

Stephen, 13: My grade 3 teacher was dressed as a chip bag.
James, 13: My friend’s dog was dressed as a pumpkin.
Len, 14: The best Halloween costume I ever sa would be this girl dressed up as the Statue of Liberty.
Anonymous, 14: These 2 girls dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the Cat in the Hat.
Albert, 13: I saw a little boy dressed up as Power Rangers and it was sick!
Marcel, 16: One year I went as me and it was scary.
Drake, 15: When I was in grade eight, I wore this inflatable peacock with a rider. I could barely get through the door!
Aaron, 14: A big caterpillar.
Kurt, 15: A kissing booth.
Brody, 12: Spiderman, I wore it 3 years in a row: ages 4, 5, 6!
Steven, 13: I was a gangster rapper, with a lot of bling, bling!
Scott, 13: Incredible Hulk, it looked so real, but it was really hot.

2: If you could meet anyone alive or dead, who would it be and why?

Dylan, 15: I would like to meet Flea because he’s a good humanitarian, and incredible bassist, and an animal rights activist.
Ryan, 12: I would like to meet Nelson Mandela because he’s an inspirational person.
Kevin, 13: Kobe Bryant, favorite basketball player.
Timmy, 12: I want to meet Michael Jordan. He is my idol, what he does is so awesome!
Brandon, 12: I would want to meet Neil Armstrong. I would want to talk to him about going into outer space.
James, 12: I want to meet Harrison Ford because he is so cool in all those movies.
Michael, 16:  Albert Einstein because he has a brilliant mind.
Albert, 13: Probably it would be cool to meet Miley Cyrus because she’s really popular with Disney.
Ryan, 13: It would be so cool to meet Elvis! Because I know ALL his songs.
Brent, 13: Sydney Crosby- he is my favourite hockey player.

3. Do you think video games are a reason for violence in teens?

Warren, 13: No, if parents are worried about violence in video games then don’t let them play.
Ryan, 13: No way, usually video games are bought by the parents so they can choose what games their teens play.
Iain, 13: Well I guess. Some teens see something that works out in a video game and want to try it in reality but 90% of the time someone ends up getting hurt.
Stephen,13: I don’t think so. I think it’s up to whoever is responsible for the teens to choose what they do or don’t do until they are responsible enough to decide themselves.
Albert, 13: I think they may because so many teenagers play these violent video games that they may think its ok to do that in real life.
Tyler, 14: No, teens are violent because teens are violent. I mean if someone told a teen to dart out in front of a semi would he do it? No because he knows better and he knows the consequences. The real solution is for parents to not let their kids play these games to begin with, that’s why they’re the parent.
Johnny, 15: Not really, because everyone knows it’s all fake.
Kevin, 13: No way, they are just fun, mindless kind of stuff.
Brody, 12: I don’t think so, if teens are violent it comes from something more serious.
Jake, 13: I’m not sure, I don’t like the really violent games anyways.
John, 12: Maybe if you are playing them when you’re 6 or 7 !
