Natural vs. Fancy
Makeup

Natural makeupNATURAL
The key to natural make-up is to choose sheer colours and formulas that are close to your own skin tone which allow your natural beauty to shine through.

Eyes:
A great technique for the natural effect is to dot the eye pencil between lashes on the top lid.

Cheeks: If you have a warm skin undertone, use a light application of a peach-toned blush but if you have a cool skin undertone, use a soft pink shade. Either way, choose a colour that is naturally found in your skin. Apply it to the apple of the cheek and blend it over the cheekbones.

Lips: Apply a nude coloured or slightly frosty lip gloss.
Remember: a gloss makes your lips appear to be fuller. Girls with extra full lips, use lip gloss sparingly!

Eyes:
Comb your top and bottom lashes with mascara, avoid volumizer or thickener. Now use your blush brush lightly over your eye lids for a healthy glow.

festiveFESTIVE
For a festive look, put an emphasis on one facial feature, whether it be eyes, lips or even cheeks. Use the tips from the natural look and bump it up for the holiday season.

Eyes: Start by applying a light to medium shade of eye shadow to your entire lid area. This is also a good place to add a little sparkle.

For holiday parties sparkles are allowed... and xpected!

Eyes: Apply a brown or black mascara, depending on the natural colour of your lashes. Darker if your natural lashes are dark brown or black. Apply in layers.

The secret to keep makeup natural looking, even when festive and dramatic, is to blend all edges and lines well! Be sure to conceal obvious lines where colours meet!

Lips: Choose a nice shimmery gloss but go for a lighter colour if you have a lot of emphasis on your eyes. Remember: even with a festive look, you still want to be natural... leave the exaggeration to the Christmas tree!

Eyes:

For extra glamour choose an iridescent powder to highlight your eyes.Always soften eye liner by smudging with a small brush.

Remember:
Beauty comes from the inside.
Be happy and confident! ;)
