Nicki Minaj: R&B

MUSIC REVIEW, January 2011, by Sandra Dagovic

Nicki Minaj

Album: Pink Friday
Artist: Nicki Minaj
Label: Universal/Cash Money
Genre: R&B

Here's a negative review for you... Recently Nicki Menaj, a relatively new artist has exploded on the radio working with artists from the Black- Eyed Peas to Eminem. The response to her songs seem to be divided 50/50. Some love it and the other half hate it. Personally, I liked her collaboration with the Black-Eyed Peas but other than that this album is a waste. Her songs are boring and repetitive. The beat in certain songs can get stuck in your head but the lyrics and vocals would be better if a five year old sang it. Tell me what YOU think!

I honestly agree with you, although I did like her work with Drake, but the comment on repetetiveness is very true.

I totally agree. I like some of her songs, but I find that most of them are waaaaaay to repetitive and just annoying.

I love Nicki Minaj*. And she has a greaat voice. Unlike most artists, she can sing and rap. She swears alot, which may be a negative. However, she has great emphasis on some words, and gets the meaning of the song out. She also has ALOT of expression and such that makes her loved by her fans! :)
