Real Girl: Jennie

Meet Real Girl Jennie!Age: 16  Sign: Leo  Grade: 11

Favourites: My favorite colour is blue, and everyone makes fun of me because no matter where I go for dinner I will ALWAYS order chicken fingers and fries. What can I say? J and I have always wanted to go to Paris and Italy for some reason... might be the shopping ;) I LOVE Eminem, and I have a weird habit. I am constantly playing with my hair :P People think I’m either nervous or flirting or both all the time because of it! My favorite season is summer, obviously I’m a Leo, but I also love snow. I hate the slush that comes with it though. My favourite sports are hockey and soccer but I also like volleyball, judo and softball.

Hobbies: I love sports. I have been playing soccer since I can remember, and my team placed first last year! I can’t wait until hockey starts, as always. I like photography as well. I live close to lake Ontario and I'm always there taking pictures. I also like to sew and design which is pretty much what I want to do with my life.

School and Stuff: Although I love school I’m not big on 3 things that come with it which are: 1) waking up, 2) this whole “learning” thing, and 3) Math :l. My favourite subject is Fashion followed by Law and Art. But my favourite time during school is lunch period and after school. I love knowing that when I get to school there will always be people there that I am friends with and can talk to and that I can always find something to do. There are always clubs to join, lines to memorize, and Math to study for.

Personality: Uhmm this is a little embarrassing but when I asked I was told that I was the Energizer Bunny because I apparently always have energy even though most of the time I am tired, lol. A couple teachers told me that I can be creative and my Law teacher says that I always add my opinion to a conversation, and always change my mind. I would pretty much agree with most of it but I’m not so sure about the energy thing!

Life Challenge: I know that this sounds cheesy but the first serious relationship I was in was my biggest life challenge. I, like any girl in this situation, really liked the guy and when we broke up it was hard. I broke up with him simply because of the seriousness and the fact that I just wasn’t ready for that kind of commitment. I think that many, if not all, girls will go through something similar to this and all I can say is talk to who you trust. I didn’t really want to talk about it but when I did it was to my best friend and to my mom. Just know that it is okay and although it seems like the world is ending at the time, its not. You will in time get over it, and it will be hard when one of you two get into another relationship, but it is okay to move on, and sometimes all you want to do is hang out with the girls. In my experience it has always been better to hang out with the girlfriends then to try and get a guy. My advice would be to talk to your mom or aunts, cousins, friends. It seems weird but but they are always going to be there for you.

Proud of: I am proud of my brother. I am proud of him because even though he has done things he knows aren’t right, he is doing his best to correct them. And it is beginning to be noticed.

So Jennie: I am a weird mix. A few years ago I laughed about girls who wore makeup every day and dresses all the time. I liked sports and getting wherever I am going just on time or “fashionably late” and I have changed so much from then. I now LOVE makeup and want to be a fashion designer! Its funny because although I love putting outfits together and getting my makeup just right I don’t do them because I want to look a certain way I do it because I like it! I don’t like however trying to get jewelery to fit with the outfit which is why I wear the same cameo every day. But I still like sports and hanging out with the guys. I’m not a tomboy or a girly-girl, I'm an awkward mix and I'm okay with that :P I also love sleep any chance I get. I’ll pass out anywhere, for example in cars, boats, chairs, couches, lawns, snowbanks... I'll sleep anywhere ...maybe that’s why I'm always running late?!

Cool fact about Jennie: I used to do judo, so although I am tiny and not intimidating, I can flip you over my shoulder ;)

Future: In my future within the next 2 years I hope to be accepted to Ryerson University for Fashion Design and Textiles. After that I want to have a fashion line and open up a store with my friend Sara G in downtown Toronto. But we might have to start a little smaller ;)

Pet Peeves: I hate it when people chew and use their tongue to squish their food in the roof of their mouths, I cant stand that noise. I also don’t like when people crack their fingers.
