Real Girl: Victoria

Age: 13 Grade: 8 Sign: Aries
Faves: My favourite colour is purple, I love animals and drawing ‘Manga’. One TV show I can't stop watching is ‘What Not To Wear’ and the music I love is ‘Gwen Stefani’ and ‘No Doubt’. I am a candy addict - peach rings are my favourite! My favourite foods are ribs and apple pie.
Hobbies: My hobbies are doodling in my spare time, playing computer games, MSN, shopping and reading a really good book. Fantasy is my favourite genre – ‘The Other Girl’ was a really good book I recently read.
School and Stuff: My favourite subject is definitely Science. I'm going into high school next year and I'm very excited. I also am attending a French immersion school and I'm both excited and scared to take it to the next level. One thing I like about school is seeing my friends and the countless memories that last a lifetime.
Personality: My friends and family see me as fun, funny, sweet, accepting, kind and smart. I see myself as artistic, unique, fashion-forward and patient.
Life Challenge: I haven't had any significant challenges in my life, but one challenging thing is being a twin. Ever since I can remember I've always been asked, "Are you guys twins?", over and over again and believe me, it does get very annoying. I'm also very tall - 5’ 10.5” - although I’m not as tall as my sister. Often people think I'm older than I actually am, which at times can be good, but people also treat me differently or expect more from me because of it. Most people can tell me and my sister apart, but every time I see my grandfather he can never tell us apart. Advice I would give to people who feel different is that differences are what make you special, unique, and beautiful.
Proud of: Something that I'm proud of is making my way through four years of French immersion. Sometimes I feel discouraged and want to drop out (especially now since I'm entering high school) but then I remember how deciding something so early can have a huge impact on my life. I try to remember that someday knowing French can be very useful and help me find a good job.
So Victoria: Doing my hair and makeup, running (I have really long legs), wearing lots of eye liner, not being a morning person, chewing gum, and always listening to my iPod are sooo me!
Cool fact about Victoria: I am bi-racial. My mom is German and Scottish and my dad is Jamaican.
Future: I hope to go to university some day. I love putting makeup on and doing my hair and hope to be a hair stylist or a professional makeup artist one day and own my own salon. Another thing I want to do is reunite with one of my lost childhood friends, Keesha. Still another ambition of mine is to become a model. I dream of living in a really nice house and I am willing to work really hard in whatever I end up doing to accomplish my hopes and dreams.
Pet Peeves: Hypocrites, things that don't match, and Justin Bieber.
Meet my sister Evelyn!
