What do your HANDS say about you?

What do your HANDS
say about you?

Take a good look at the palms of your hands.
I mean really look at them! Once you are fully grown, the size of your palm, the length of your fingers and thumbs (called digits), whether they are close together or slightly spaced apart, and whether they are straight or bent in certain ways, tell a story about you. Now look at the pads (called mounts) like little hills on different parts of your palm, especially the big pad where the thumb joins the hand and also the little ones under the fingers! And what about the lines? There are straight ones and curved ones, thick lines and thin, faint lines and curled whorls that make up your thumb prints! Your palm, my dear reader, tells a story about beautiful and unique YOU!

What Is Palmistry All About?
The scientific word for Palmistry is 'Chiromancy' and comes from the Greek word 'cheir' meaning hand. Those who practice chiromancy are called palmists, palm readers, hand readers or chirologists.

The hands have always held mankind's interest. Hand prints date back to the stone age in prehistoric times and have been found on the walls of ancient caves in Spain and France.

To most people, studying the palm means to foretell the future. To some others, palm reading is a wonderful tool. Why? Because it means that if you can see characteristics of yourself by reading them in your palms, you'll get to know yourself better. You'll examine your strengths and your weaknesses and use your omw free Will to enhance the gifts you will see there. You will also work on the less appealing traits to consciously make improvements!

How Palmistry Can Benefit You
Let's look at a case study of a girl named Lianne. She's pretty, she's smart, she's really nice... but she doesn't have many friends. Lianne is very shy and not into sports. She is the last one to be picked for school teams and the last one the other kids would choose to sit beside in the cafeteria or on a school trip. However, if anyone at school needs a favour, whether it's help with homework or a loan of a couple of dollars, or if her parents need her to run a last-minute errand for them, Lianne is always willing to help out. Because she gets so little in return, Lianne's self-esteem is very low and her marks are dropping. She spends most of her time in her room just drawing, writing and listening to music. She thinks that if her classmates heard what she listened to they'd call her a nerd because Lianne prefers classical music! Lianne loves to combine colours in ways that are not 'in' or trendy. She doesn't care to follow fashion and styles and prefers to put outfits and colours together in ways that are not currently popular. While her peers are talking about their possible future careers as doctors, engineers and computer technicians, Lianne has no idea what she'll do when she graduates from high school. She is lonely and confused.

What if we were to look at Lianne's hands?

We'd first look at the hand she uses to write with, which is her dominant hand. The lines on this hand change through the years due to electromagnetic images from the brain which follow our Life Path. Then we'd look at the other hand which is her Destiny hand. Both hands are generally similar, but there are some differences.

Lianne's favourite aunt Selena was over for a visit and took Lianne out for the day one Saturday. They drove around Prince Edward County in Auntie Sel's little sports car and stopped to have a bite at an outdoor patio. As they sipped their banana-mango smoothies, they noticed a sign across the street. It read: Madame Fiona, Palmist. Aunt Sel dragged a resistant Lianne across the street after they finished their meal …and the rest is history.

The palm reader pointed out to Lianne that she has a short index finger which shows that she likes to work alone. People like this often tend to become self employed as a writer or an artist. Well, we know that she does a lot of artwork and already has more than enough great work to put together an awesome portfolio. Lianne's fingers lie close together, showing a hard working, stable person and indicating that she will be very much appreciated by future employers. Her thumb, rather than hugging the hand, sticks out indicating a carefree personality. We see this in her flamboyance when it comes to mixing and matching her outfits! Her Life Line is not connected to the Head Line which indicates that Lianne is an independent thinker. Her ring finger (aka: Apollo finger) on both hands is bent a bit, indicating that she is a giver, while her Moon mount (the soft part at the inside base of the palm) is large showing that she has a great imagination. To top it off, her prominent Sun mount indicates artistic talent.

While the Palmist pointed these out to Lianne, Aunt Sel just beamed and nodded her head knowingly. Lianne didn't say much but when they got home she went up to her room and sat on her bed for a long, long time before going to sleep. No music, no sketching - just focused introspection (inner thought).

The next day it was evident that her attitude had changed. She started to make eye contact with her peers and smiled a lot more. She seemed 'lighter' as though a weight had rolled off her shoulders, she attacked her schoolwork with fresh energy and she started to organize her sketches and paintings into categories. Now when her peers talked about their future careers, Lianne shyly added that she was going to be an artist or a fashion designer. Imagine her surprise when a couple of the girls said that, of course, everyone knew that would be her career because it suited her perfectly. They also added that she had a real cool way with putting a wardrobe together... and again to her surprise, they said it nicely, without negativity. By the end of the school year Lianne was included in many activities and she now had lots of friends.

Understanding More of Who You Are

Such a seemingly small thing like having her palms read for a half hour, yet it was exactly the nudge that Lianne needed to use her own Will to honour herself and let her REAL SELF shine, no matter what!

Why not research Palmistry on your own? You can look it up online and better yet, get a book filled with diagrams from the library. Get together with some friends and have a great time checking out each others' palms. And remember, if there's anything there that you don't care to see, use your WILL to change it. After all, the lines on our hands change throughout our lives! And you will see, after time passes, that there are new lines added to your palm, indicating your new behaviours... your new chosen path!

  • Once new lines are added they do not go away.
