The Chosen OneI though that The Chosen One was an amazing book full of suspense that leads you through the hard life of Kyra Carlson in her polygamist community called The Chosen Ones. Kyra has a father with three wives and about 20 siblings who she is very close with. She is quite content with her life until one day when Prophet Childs says that she will be marrying her 60 year old uncle. Kyra must follow his orders because he brings the Word of God, but when she finds love with Joshua, another boy in her community, she will do anything to escape possibly being married to her uncle. I loved this book because it gave me insights into the polygamist community and it kept me on my toes the whole time. NOTE: I strongly recommend this book to ages 13& up because of some mature content.
