that is you!
Colours are powerful and wearing or surrounding ourselves with the ‘right’ ones can subtly or vibrantly carry a message about our moods. These clouds include ALL the colours since GCDA’s very first issue! It will help you choose what to wear or what to surround yourself with according to your moods and what you want to achieve. You can refer to it every day!
White
Innocent, crisp, fresh. A bride’s wedding dress, a snow bunny in wintertime, looks great with a tan in the summer, for occasions where cleanliness is important (like working in food and health service). White is stunning with black, soft and clean with pastels, and enhances dark colours. Combine white with any colour at all!
Violet, Lavender
Sweet, gentle, soft. Go for the softer shades when you want to be in a quiet, relaxed mood. Try white, black, silver, or soft pastels or a touch of electric blue for just the right look.
Purple
Important, vibrant, intelligent. Royal purple has traditionally been the colour for kings and queens. Wear it when you want to feel confident and ‘out there’! Black, silver, fuchsia or pink, or a touch of bright orange, green or red if you dare!
Black
Mysterious, sophisticated. Formal wear, business suits, great shoes, elegant occasions, mourning. Combine with any colour. Great as an accessory. Stunning with silver or gold
Indigo or Navy
Deep, thoughtful, quiet, confident. Indigo is a dark blue, almost purple colour. It too has been used symbolically by royalty over the ages. You ooze confidence and are making a statement! Navy blue is a colour of choice when job hunting! Add white along with silver accessories to navy for that professional self-assured look.
Bright or Pastel Blue
Happy, communicative, friendly, thoughtful, meditative. You’re confident and ready to go! A great colour when you need to give yourself a confidence boost during a presentation or when needing to talk to someone. You are feeling soft and happy in a quiet way. Life is good and you are supportive to your friends. White, pewter, silver black, gray and soft pastels will complete the look.
Dark or Bright Green
On a mission, happy. You feel good. You love life, nature and fresh outdoor air. An important environmental cause may be occupying your thoughts. Black, white, grey, brown, gold, copper. Try some blue or deep pink or yellow for a fun accent.
Light Green
Whimsical, appreciative. Life is beautiful. You feel fresh, dreamy and new. Black, silver, copper, gold, white, grey and any pastel colours.
Bright WARM Red
In charge, a leader. You are confident and ready to go! Look out world! Black, silver, gold.
A small stroke of vibrant green will make the red pop!
Dark Red
This is not a shade of red to wear if you are angry or feeling emotional. The message is that you mean business! Black is a great contrast then add white, grey or silver to soften and wash any anger away.
Pink
Sweet, soothing, compassionate, gentle. Think of fluffy cotton candy, All things are to be loved and cared for. Gentleness is important to you. White, navy, black, grey, silver, burgundy, dark blue or purple go great with pinks
Silver
Cool, elegant, sophisticated. Moonlight, positive energy. Luminous or sparkly silver adds a special touch to any colour that has blue added to it (green, violet, magenta.)
Yellow
Joyous, in control, powerful, sunny. Life is amazing, you bubble over with joy and enthusiasm, you can do anything if you put your mind to it and you know it! Mix with white, black, gold. A little brown, fuschia or green may work as accent colours.
Soft Yellow
Gentle, Sweet happy. You feel content and relaxed. Mix with white, black, gold and pastel colours. Try a little pale peach or pink.
Gold
Positive, loyal, responsible.You are optimistic and choose friends wisely. Wear with any colour to add a touch of class. Stunning with white and with colours mixed with red (orange, purple, fuschia)
Orange
Vibrant, alive, risk-taker. Wow! You are glowing with power and energy. Nothing is too difficult for you! Mix with white, gold, copper. Try adding or purple. a splash of bright green, fuschia
Pale Orange
Quiet, relaxed, solitary. You feel quiet. You want some ‘alone’ time to think, read or just ‘be’. Mix with black, rich brown, white, gold, peach, copper. A sunny yellow will lift you up a notch.
