Bored? What to do this March Break
GIRLFRIENDS, March 2008, by Karla Belfon
BORED?
Here’s your March Break
never-be-bored list!
You’ve looked forward to this week since New Years. Now it’s here, you’re parents are working, your BFF is away on a cruise, and your little brother isn’t your idea of excitement! Here are some ways to pass the time and actually have some fun…
1. So bored you can’t move a limb? Then don’t! Snuggle up on the couch with a good read, a hot chocolate and your cuddliest blanket!
2. Call up a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. She’ll appreciate the surprise.
3. Drag out the family photo albums and enjoy a blast from the past.
4. Try experimenting with a new recipe. Get out the cook books or search for a new idea on line. If you can’t cook you’ll be able to say you learned!
5. Can you say “movie marathon”? Grab a stack of chick flicks, a bucket of popcorn and tissue for the emotional scenes!
6. Declare a “ME DAY”. Start off with a long hot bubble bath, give yourself a manicure, and flip through a magazine for a couple hours. You’ll feel so rested…
7. Two words: scrap book. It will keep you busy for hours as you add the memories.
8. Reorganize your room. I’m talking drawers, under the bed, closet…all of it!
9. Journaling! Just pick up a pen and start writing. If there’s no BFF to talk to, your journal is the next best thing.
