Age: 18 Grade: 12 Sign: Capricorn
Favourites: I love the colour blue. My favourite season is summer, I love to eat lasagna, I love swimming and roller blading, hanging out with my friends, and going to the beach. I’m a big movie fan; I like watching movies better than TV shows.
Hobbies: I’ve started going to the gym a lot. I also like reading, singing, and writing poetry.
School & Stuff: My favourite classes were English & Art. Once I wrote a poem called Snow Angels and it was published in a book called Urban Voices! The best part of school for me was building a lot of relationships, making lots of friends and becoming close with teachers. I got to learn something new every day. The part I didn’t like was Math, I actually hated it! I’m happy that I just graduated from grade 12.
Personality: My friends would say I’m outgoing and silly and my mom would say the same. I would add that I take risks, I’m really friendly and I get along with everyone.
Life Challenge: In grade 9 I was bullied a lot. There were a couple of girls who bothered me a lot, called me bad names and spread rumours. I was so innocent in grade 9. I never did anything wrong so I was traumatized about the bullying. It was so hard to live with. They picked on me all the time and then one day they were having a phone conversation with a guy about me and he realized we had the same last name. It turned out that he was my half brother! We did a 3 way conversation and we knew we were related. He was at another school but it was pretty close to where I lived. So we met up and there were tears and hugs, it was so amazing. We knew we both existed, we just didn’t know where we each were. I ended up moving to another school away from the mean girls and I was able to start over in a different atmosphere. It was really great and it went well. In the end I learned a lot and I don’t at all regret it because if it didn’t happen I may not have been as connected with my brother as I am now.
Proud of: I am really proud of making it through high school, sticking together with my good friends, and being tight with my family. We are all like brothers and sisters, even my parents. We argue and fight sometimes, but it’s just silly. My mom is fun like my sister in a way because we love each other a lot and do lots of family things together. I have a little sister who is 4 and a brother who is 9. I do lots of babysitting but I don’t mind because we get along great. I’m also proud that I started getting healthy and going to the gym. The gym is so important to me right now and has made me feel like a better person from head to toe. It’s not just going to the gym, it’s a lifestyle for me now. I go there to get my day started and feel good.
So Jade: Laughing a lot, my extremely curly hair, taking so many showers, having a really happy personality, and going to the gym are SOOOO ME!!
Cool Fact about Jade: I come from a family where everyone plays guitar and sings and I’m learning to play too. A funny fact about me is that when I was a kid I called cotton balls gigi’s!
Future: For my future I hope to have a great career, to live in my own apartment, have my own car, be completely financially stable, meet a nice guy and have kids. I want to go to college or university to learn to be a producer for TV shows.
Pet Peeves: My biggest pet peeve is when I have to wait because people are late.
