Favourites: My favourite colours are pink, green and purple. I love liquid eyeliner, fashion and shopping. My favourite foods are Indian and Chinese and I love Starbuck’s strawberries and cream frappuccinos. I really like chatting on line with my friends, talking on the phone, hanging out, and watching 90210. I love every kind of music except for country and metal. My favourite holiday is Christmas!

School and Stuff: I like school some days. I play trumpet in the concert band, I love art, and my favourite subjects are geography and history, but I hate math. I’m really looking forward to going to high school. For my electives I will take business and visual arts.

Hobbies: My favourite hobby is hanging out with my friends, but I also love shopping, playing the trumpet, watching movies and traveling.

Personality: My friends would say I’m really loud, outgoing, really hyper and funny. My family would also say I don’t take things seriously sometimes, I’m trustworthy and dependable. I like to have fun and enjoy life!

Life Challenge: Rumours and gossip have been hard because there can be a lot of that with girls and people talking behind my back. Girls have made fun of me where they act really catty and say mean things about me. It makes me feel sad and a bit angry that people would do that. I basically try to ignore it and if it gets bad then I just confront them, not in a rude way but to let them know it’s wrong. My message to others going through this would be to not listen to them and remind yourself you’re a great person.

Proud of: I’m really proud that this year I’m staying away from all the gossip and rumours. I made new friends that aren’t really into that stuff. I came to my senses and understand there are better people I can be friends with. I like to stay out of the rumours and drama. I’m also really proud of my family. We’ve had some troubles throughout the years but now we’re having more fun and getting really close with each other. My Dad and I are getting really close and he was thinking of taking me on a business trip trip with him. I also have a really strong relationship my Mom and Grandma.

So Ushaya: Laughing out loud, always fooling around, making people laugh, always wearing liquid eye liner, hating the mornings (I can never wake up), having trouble going to bed, watching TV, being on my computer, listening to music, jeans, ballet flats and wearing black is soooo me!

Cool Fact about Ushaya: If you didn’t know me I’d be really shy, you have to know me for me to act crazy and most people wouldn’t believe that.

Future: Going into high school in the near future, then I really want to work for a fashion magazine or have a career in fashion. I’ll probably move to South Africa when I’m older to be with my family. I don’t have a lot of family here and where I’m from they are all really close. I love that. Get togethers are really special.

Pet Peeves: People biting their nails, it drives me crazy. Also when people brag about themselves.
