Preserving Memories
with your very own
TIME CAPSULE

Another school year has just about passed, the summer is here, and before we know it our favourite school memories will start to fade as they become replaced with new ones. Don’t you just wish sometimes that you could freeze time, or rewind back into the past to relive the best times you’ve had with your BFFs? You can’t, but here’s the next best thing: a Time Capsule!

time capsuleWhat is it?

A time capsule is a box or chest specially filled with personal artifacts that represent you and your BFFs. You bury it somewhere safe and then dig it up at a special time in the distant future. Imagine how cool it would be if you were digging up a time capsule you buried with your buds a year or two ago? You’d see how you’ve all changed or stayed the same.

WHAT YOU NEED

Remember to have fun with it and there are no boundaries. Go all out, and personalize it so that it’s so you, and really represents what you guys are all about. What you put inside the time capsule is the most important part.

- photos
- friendship bracelet or pin
- teddy bear
- mixed cd
- voice recordings
- home videos
- personality stats
- charms
- locket
- notes
- BFF items
- copies of your fave blogs from GCDA

Then what?

Seal it all up in a moisture-proof container that closes air tight (you don’t want water or little critters getting in there!). You can even wrap the entire thing with duct tape when you’re done.

Pick a special ‘bury spot’ with your friends that will definitely be accessible when you return in the future for the big dig!

The amount of time to leave it is completely up to you - from a couple months to a few years. Graduation would be a cool time, maybe wait until the next summer, or open it in one year on the exact time and date that you buried it. Good luck whatever you choose, and don’t forget your shovel!

TIPS

Be sure to bury it deep enough!
Make a pact that you’ll all meet here at whatever date you’ve agreed on to dig it up.
